The Legacy
Sonya, named after her grandmother Sofia, studied nursing and later became nutritionist. She has four children, Dani, Yael, Tali, and Joshua. Danny is a computer scientist.They all live in Virginia. Sonya took care of Anna in her later years.
Paul studied biomedical engineering at the University of Virginia. He is a systems analyst at a telecomunication company. He is an ardent student of Jewish history, and promotes Jewish studies at his community. He and his wife Laurie have three young children, Michelle, Debborah, and Jonathan.
Julius was named after his grandfather. He studied electrical engineering at MIT and his field is video communication. He founded two high tech companies, the latest is Exatel Visual Systems. Charlene and Julius have three children, Olivia, Joseph and Ariel. Olivia is an artist, Joe is studying in college and is an expert rated chess player. He spent the last summer in Armenia studying the Armenian holocaust. Ariel is the New England skateboarding champion. He is still in high school.

`I have felt so fortunate in this lifetime to have been blessed by a woman as extraordinary as was Anna Perl, my grandmother. A soft gentle soul that could have only survived this earth with a shell of steel.
Anna was a woman who had the ability to recognize the true meaning of life. She lived her life quite modestly and always gave generously to those who had asked for her help.
When problems arose it was Anna who reminded her family that these were only minor incidents in the scope of things. Her mind set was always reaching out towards others making the world that surrounded her a loving place.
If ever one should run into an angel you may want to stop and ask her name, for it may be my grandmother Anna. A true lady she once was, an angel she somewhere is ...´

Duklauer Perl
She personified the common survivor, not the rich or
famous. She was a righteous woman, leading a life of
dignity and honesty, dedication to the family, and
the community. A survivor who handsomely repayed the
precious gift of life which she received.
